Commercial display procurement toolkit
Turn a vague display request into a quote-ready specification. The tools guide the conversation; final engineering and compliance still depend on the exact model and site.
Brightness and enclosure selector
Starting point
Select the site conditions. The result will show a procurement range and the evidence you should request.
Interactive display RFQ worksheet
1. Room and viewing
Room length, mounting wall, audience size, target screen size and accessibility constraints.
2. Compute and touch
Android apps, EDLA requirement, Windows OPS/BYOD, touch users, stylus and annotation workflow.
3. Collaboration
USB-C, wireless casting, camera, microphone, speakers, network policy and device management.
Write tender requirements as model-verifiable clauses—for example, “provide EDLA evidence for the quoted model”—instead of assuming a platform feature covers an entire product family.
LCD video wall canvas calculator
2 × 2 starting point
4 panels. Approximate active 16:9 canvas: 2.44 m × 1.37 m before bezel and mounting tolerances.
Calculator uses the 16:9 diagonal to estimate active image dimensions. It is not a mechanical drawing; use the exact panel and bracket dimensions for installation.
Outdoor IP66 display RFQ checklist and template
An outdoor LCD RFQ should identify the installation, readable content, sustained luminance, thermal conditions, ingress-test scope, mounting, playback, market documents and service responsibilities. Send the same brief to each supplier and compare the complete configured system, not display-only prices.
Prepared by TZD Display · Reviewed . This worksheet is a procurement starting point, not a product certification or a promise of suitability. Unknown values stay “pending confirmation”.
| Field | Buyer input | Supplier response / evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Destination and site | Country, city, site photos, orientation, shading and glazing | Installation assumptions, exclusions and local review responsibilities |
| Size, quantity and content | Active size, quantity, nearest viewer, text/map/video samples | Exact model/revision, native pixels and content sample result |
| Brightness and dimming | Readability criteria, sun hours and night restrictions | Typical/minimum/sustained output, mode, warm-up conditions and dimming method |
| Thermal and solar load | Design ambient, solar exposure and daily runtime | Test conditions, cooling path, temperature limits and derating/shutdown behaviour |
| IP66 and cleaning | Rain, dust, cable entry and cleaning procedure | Report reference, tested assembly, model coverage and connector/door conditions |
| Structure and service access | Mounting, site dimensions, access and wind/structural review needs | Drawing revision, weight, fixing interfaces, clearances and safe repair procedure |
| Power, player and network | Supply, network, CMS, content schedule and security requirements | Measured system power, player/OS build, interfaces and compatibility test |
| Touch and front glass | Interaction, gloves, cleaning and impact requirements if applicable | Tested touch/glass configuration; mark non-required features not applicable |
| Destination-market documents | Country, importer/brand role and evidence requested by project reviewer | Applicable file index, model coverage, responsible entity and pending items |
| Pilot and quality records | Representative site, agreed acceptance criteria and evidence required | Sample configuration, relevant QC record scope, test method and release plan |
| Service, spares and changes | Service location, access constraints and continuity expectations | Written warranty scope, parts list, substitution approval and support responsibilities |
| Commercial comparison | Quantity, currency, destination and required delivery milestones | Itemised price, Incoterm, exclusions, MOQ and lead time confirmed in writing |
Copy-ready request for quotation
Subject: Outdoor IP66 LCD RFQ — [country / project] Site, sun/glass/weather exposure and photos: [attach / pending] Quantity, dimensions, viewing distance and content: [fill in] Ambient/solar conditions and daily runtime: [fill in / pending] Readability, sustained output and night dimming: [agree test] Ingress, cleaning, mounting and safe service access: [fill in] Power, player/OS, CMS and network: [fill in] Destination-market file index and responsible reviewer: [fill in] Pilot acceptance, QC evidence, spares and change control: [agree scope] Please return the exact model/revision, evidence references, exceptions, and itemised quotation with written MOQ, lead time and warranty terms.
How to evaluate the supplier response
Mark each row verified, pending or not applicable. Keep the supporting file and model revision beside the answer. Ask for written closure of unresolved thermal, ingress, structural or market-document requirements before the agreed approval gate. A higher nit figure, a logo row or a different model's report does not close those questions.
Outdoor RFQ questions
What fields belong in an outdoor IP66 display RFQ?
Include site exposure, content and dimensions, sustained brightness, thermal conditions, the tested IP assembly, mounting and cable entry, playback, destination-market documents, pilot acceptance, spares and written commercial terms.
Does specifying IP66 guarantee sunlight readability or thermal performance?
No. Ingress protection, image readability and thermal behaviour need separate evidence for the quoted assembly and installation conditions.
How should a supplier handle missing specifications?
Label unknowns pending confirmation, identify the required evidence and responsible party, and agree when they must be resolved. Do not fill gaps with assumed catalogue values.
TZD Display is the commercial display brand of Shenzhen Taozhongda Technology Co., Ltd., Shenzhen, China. Review the outdoor LCD family, indoor/window/outdoor comparison, Middle East site checks and CE/FCC/RoHS evidence checklist, then send the completed brief. Model suitability and available evidence require project confirmation.
