A commercial display compliance review should connect the ordered model and revision to the applicable destination-market requirements, declaration and supporting technical evidence. CE, FCC, RoHS, ISO 9001 and IP66 answer different questions; one logo or certificate cannot substitute for all of them. This is a procurement checklist, not a shipment-specific legal determination.
Claim-to-evidence comparison
| Claim | Files and scope to verify | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| CE marking | Signed EU Declaration of Conformity, applicable legislation, model coverage and technical-file index | Not a blanket quality award or proof of approval by an EU authority |
| FCC-related claim | Determine the applicable authorization route; match evidence and any applicable identifier to the equipment and wireless configuration | Not every device uses the same route or requires its own FCC ID |
| RoHS | Applicable scope, material/part evidence and documented treatment of exemptions where relevant | Not an ingress, electrical safety or factory-QMS certificate |
| ISO 9001 | Certificate holder, site, scope, issuing body and current status | Management-system evidence, not product market-access approval |
| IP66 enclosure claim | Tested assembly, model variants, connector conditions and report reference | Not proof of thermal, corrosion, EMC or all-market compliance |
Four checks before approving the document pack
- Record model/revision, destination, requirement, file reference, coverage explanation, review status and responsible party.
- Official references explain the rules, not the certification status of a TZD model. Request current model evidence separately.
- Check report issuer, reference, date, standards and tested configuration. Verify authenticity through the issuer or official database where available; a file name or PDF logo alone is insufficient.
- Record power supply, enclosure, player, wireless module and firmware changes. Have the responsible compliance party assess the impact before approving substitutions or private-label revisions.
Resolve missing evidence before the commercial gate
Use pending, verified or not applicable for each requirement, with a reviewer and evidence reference. Missing files stay pending, not passed. Agree the required file pack and change-control responsibility in writing; have a qualified destination-market reviewer confirm the final route. UL, CB, WEEE, EAC or Google EDLA status must not be inferred from unrelated logos.
TZD Display is the commercial display brand of Shenzhen Taozhongda Technology Co., Ltd. Request a document index for the quoted model and destination market through OEM/ODM project review. This guide does not assert that every TZD configuration holds every listed approval.
Pair this review with the factory audit checklist, pre-deposit document checks and outdoor IP66 RFQ worksheet.
Frequently asked questions
Is a CE certificate PDF enough to approve a display?
No. Review the applicable EU Declaration of Conformity, technical evidence and coverage of the ordered configuration. CE marking is not a general third-party quality certification.
Does every commercial display need an FCC ID?
Do not use an FCC ID as a universal pass criterion. Determine the equipment's applicable authorization route and verify the relevant device and wireless evidence with the responsible reviewer.
Does ISO 9001 prove CE, FCC or IP66 compliance?
No. A management-system certificate and model-specific product documents have different scopes and must be reviewed separately.
Can a report for one model cover related models?
Potentially, where the applicable route and documented technical coverage support it. Request the variant mapping and responsible review rather than assuming automatic coverage or automatic invalidity.
Keep a reviewable evidence index
- Record model/revision, destination, requirement, file reference, coverage explanation, review status and responsible party.
- Official references explain the rules, not the certification status of a TZD model. Request current model evidence separately.
